The Dangers of Sharia (law) on liberty and the west
PREFACE 
 
In this article we are going to explore the dangers of the component of the religion of Islam that espouses the socio-economical, judicial, and political ideals known as Sharia law or simply Sharia (which means law). This is not to be construed as a criticism of Islam in general. Again I want to point out that I advocate the freedom to practice any religion in a free nation, under a government that does not take a side in the question of religion (essentially a secular government). We will cite Sharia laws in order to examine what it is. We will compare sharia law to the ideals espoused by western ideas of freedom, egalitarianism, and financial freedoms and other individual rights. And explain why sharia law is a clear and present danger to the West and its ideals. If we in the West do not realize the dangers of Sharia. Just as the dangers of any kind of theocracy are to liberty. The West will surely die. Sharia law advocated by Islam has a long history of supplanting other nations and their laws.
 
A BRIEF DEFINITION OF SHARIA LAW. 
 
Sharia law is in a nutshell, a set of laws and precepts that govern an Islamic society’s behavior for both the adherents of Islam and for those that are not. The sources for all Sharia law are in the following documents of Islam. 
 
  • The Koran. 
  • The Sira. 
  • The Hadith. 
 
Note: The Sira and the Hadith together are called the Sunna of Mohammed. 
 
And these above are based in whole or in part on the life of Mohammed, and his pronouncements that are recorded in the above documents. It is important to understand that Mohammed is the person who any Muslim will say was the perfect Muslim, and the person that all Muslims should pattern themselves after, and pattern themselves after him in every way. 
 
It is also important for those who are not Muslims to study what significance Sharia has on non-Muslims. After all, if you never become a Muslim and decide to live in a Muslim dominated country, you will be subject to Sharia at one level or another. And while it is true that Muslim countries vary as to what Sharia laws or shall we say how far Sharia is applied, you will not be able to escape completely the political aspects of Islamic/Sharia law in those countries.  
 
So the main features of Sharia law for non-Muslims (note non-Muslims called a Kafir. Note “Kuffar” is plural) that we need to understand are… 
 
  • Penalty for a Muslim who renounces Islam – The penalty is death (Bukhari 9,83,17), So there is no option to leave the Muslim religion. People can be and are often are killed for becoming a non-Muslim. There is no freedom under sharia for a Muslim to leave the religion. 
  • Non Believers can be mocked – Koran 8:34. 
  • Slaves are the property of Muslim men – Sura 4:24. 
  • Christians and Jews pay a special tax (the Jizya) to be able to practice their religion – Koran 9:29 (note if you study very carefully, you will find that if you are of any other (not a Christian or a Jew) religion or an Atheist, a Muslim can make war on you until you convert or die, and Sharia will not punish the Muslim because Jihad (whether using violence or peaceful spreading through preaching, are lawful under Sharia). Note a non-Muslim is called a “Dhimmi” in Islam. Dhimmis do not have equal rights with a Muslim when a nation is under Sharia law, not even in so called Sharia courts. So you DO NOT have freedom of religion or to be an Atheist under Sharia. 
  • Kafirs must submit or they can be attacked – Koran 8:12. 
  • Slavery is allowed under Sharia and slaves were taken from non-believers – Koran 33:50. Koran 4:24. Koran 24:32. Bukari 34:351. Abu Dahwud 2150. 
 
Important note !!!: when you study the Koran, you will find that there are verses that contradict themselves. When that occurs, the newest verse is taken over the older verse (this is called abrogation). But you will find that under the rules of taqiyya the weaker more kinder and gentler verses are used in places where and when Islam is weak, and the more militant and violent verses are used when and where Islam is strong. Taqiyya is not just practiced when Muslims are being persecuted. It is OK for a Muslim to deceive non-believers (Bukhari 5,59,369). It is OK to hide the truth of the nature of Sharia law. If it promotes the advancement of the religion.
 
So Islamic society under Sharia, essentially makes the Muslim supreme over non-believers. The above citations are just a portion of what’s in the writings and I urge you to study. Because you will find that Sharia is simply not compatible with secular laws and Western ideas. Sharia is against the ideas that government should be of, by and for its people, all of its people. Note that Sharia courts already exist in the UK. So it is not some kind of fiction to believe that attempts will be made to establish sharia courts everywhere. You may argue that the courts in the UK are limited. That might be true… today. 
 
Sharia (law), is not at all compatible with western ideas for individual freedom and personal rights. As well as people being subject to laws that they themselves pass. Sharia must never be allowed to get a foothold in a country regardless of the promises of their proponents.
